Last year I photographed The Waterside Inn’s annual magazine. It has been an incredible project to be a part of. Not only because of eating the most mind-blowing food, but getting to know everyone who makes the Waterside Inn what it is; the staff, the chefs, the waiters, the cocktail and wine specialists, the front of house and of course, The Rouxs. For the Waterside Inn’s new magazine, I spent the day with Michel Roux travelling around London while he promoted his new book ‘The Essence of French Cooking’. The above photo is one of my favouritea, it was the moment he received a phone call to tell him The Waterside Inn had held it’s 3 Michelin Stars for 30 years, the first restaurant to do so.

I photographed a day in Miranda Gore Browne’s kitchen with the ‘Jam Mistress’, Vivien Lloyd. The Monday aptly fell on National Marmalade week and was a day of all things orange. With Viv’s marmalade skills teaching how to make the perfect preserve, and Miranda showing how versatilely marmalade can be used within baking. I even got to take a jar home to post to my Grandpa in Thailand (it’s his favourite and it’s just not the same out there.. lots of bubble wrap was used). Orangey goodness. Some photographs of a day spent with Miranda Gore Browne filming a recipe session for The Happy Foodie, a Penguin Books food site. Miranda, a finalist of The Great Britist Bake Off and all round wonderful lady was making ‘Peter Rabbit’ inspired cupcakes with her daughter Eleanor.
